Biography
Dennis Taylor is a West Virginia lawyer who handles business, employment, educational and other litigation, performs transactional work for and provides counsel to for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and provides organizational consulting services. He is licensed to practice law in West Virginia and has been admitted to practice pro hac vice in numerous other jurisdictions.
Dennis has more than 25 years of experience in law, business, government, and higher education.
Dennis’ legal experience includes serving as a partner at Taylor and Price PLLC, Of Counsel to Franklin Scott Conway PLLC and Talcott Franklin PC, general counsel for Tyler Mountain Water Co., Inc., and an associate at Goodwin and Goodwin, LLP. He also served as a judicial law clerk for U.S. District Judges Joseph R. Goodwin and Robert C. Chambers.
Dennis’ government and higher education experience includes serving as Managing Member of his consulting firm DCT Advisors LLC, Vice Chancellor for Administration for the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission and Community and Technical College System and as Chief of Staff for the West Virginia Department of Education and the Arts. Dennis also has served as an adjunct professor at Marshall University where he has taught honors public speaking, legal communication, and leadership.
Dennis graduated Order of the Coif with a J.D. degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law where he also served as Managing Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review. In addition, he earned B.A. and M.A. degrees from Marshall University.
